Ingredients:

  • Some oatmeal
  • ¼ teaspoon milk powder
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • Some yogurt

Procedure:

Grind some oatmeal in a coffee grinder, a food processor or a blender. Add some finely ground oatmeal powder to your bath water. Soak in it for at least ten to fifteen minutes. Do this every day till the rashes are gone. Alternatively, combine two teaspoons of honey, ¼ teaspoon of milk powder, and some oatmeal powder. Put the mixture in a muslin cloth. Tie it strongly using a ribbon or another cloth. Place it in the warm tub of bath water. For rashes on the face, mix some yogurt with oatmeal powder and a little honey. Soak in the bath water for at least one hour before you can wash it off. Then, do this daily till you can see the results.

Aloe Vera

Due to its emollient, anti-inflammatory, antifungal and antibacterial properties, Aloe Vera is excellent for a number of skin problems including rashes. Apart from soothing the redness of the skin, it relieves the person from itching, redness, etc. Take the leaves of Aloe Vera and extract the gel from them. Apply it on the infected area. Leave it on for about twenty minutes and see the results after following this remedy regularly.

Cold compress

A cold compress can help in easily reducing rashes, especially those that have been caused by insect bites, shingles, and poison ivy. It also helps to ease itching, inflammation, and swelling and can be particularly helpful when the rashes begin to develop into blisters. Put some ice cubes into a sealed bag made of plastic and place it on the affected area for a few minutes. Repeat this home remedy for a few times every day till you are completely cured of the rashes. You can alternatively soak a clean washcloth in some ice-cold water and then, place it on the rashes for about ten minutes or so. However, make sure you do not put the ice cubes directly on the skin.

Apple cider vinegar

Organic and raw apple cider vinegar is a magical home remedy that helps to treat skin rashes and fast. It also calms the itching apart from treating the rashes. Moreover, the acetic acid present in it helps fight skin infections that could be aggravating or causing the problem. Dip a ball made of cotton in the apple cider vinegar and place it on the affected areas. Leave it on for a few minutes till it dries and then, remove the cotton ball. Follow this home remedy regularly by doing it several times a day. If the apple cider vinegar causes irritation, dilute it and then apply it. If the irritation persists, then go for a different remedy altogether. This should help you in treating the rashes and the skin discoloration.
