Eyelash Care

We love to apply mascara to make our eyes look prettier. But women, who have sensitive skin, often feel a sense of itchiness when they apply it. That again shouldn’t stop us from applying mascaras. Take an old or unused mascara brush and put some olive oil on it. Apply it on your eyelashes and heal them from the itchiness. This remedy will make your eyelashes look shinier too.

Hair Care

Olive oil works as moisturizing agent not only for your skin but also for your hair. If you have dry and damaged hair, olive oil would be your best friend to rejuvenate it and get it freed from split ends or frizzes. For nourishing your dry locks, all you need is a warm olive oil massage. Remember that overheating the oil can harm your scalp and reduce its goodness. Keep it lukewarm and massage well.

  • Take a small bowl to mix 4 tablespoons of olive oil and add ½ teaspoon of honey. Take a bigger bowl with boiling water, and put in the smaller bowl which contains the mixture. This will warm up the mix and not reduce its benefit by overheating.
  • Apply the mix to your scalp and let it absorb for 20 minutes.
  • Shampoo and condition your hair as usual.

This remedy can also be added with egg yolk for a healthier shine and moisturizing. Let the pack remain for 30 minutes at least and then shampoo and condition like usual.

For using the oil as a deep conditioner, add equal amounts of water to the olive oil. Blend them well and apply after you’ve shampooed once. Let it soak the oil for 10 minutes, after which you have to shampoo once more.

If you have curly hair, and the frizzes make it unmanageable, all you need to do is apply the oil before combing. It works like a natural serum and helps you detangle the tresses without effort. It adds shines to the dry hair and keeps it smooth and moisturized. Make sure that the application of oil isn’t excess, as that would make your hair over oily. You can apply the oil, comb your hair and then leave it overnight. Shampoo the next morning and feel the frizzes straighten.
