Presenting Neha Talwar Tandon, an English honors graduate with diploma in jewellery designing and manufacturing. Being a mother has not stopper her but made her reach for the goals even more.
Tell us about your startup.
INNOVATE is a place where your search for creative innovative product ends.
How did you come across this idea?
On the arrival / birth celebration of my daughter, I did the complete decoration with my own hand made products which were appreciated by all friends and relatives. Thus after 6 month on 8th January 2018, INNOVATE was born.
What was the reaction from your family & friends?
They were all supportive and believed in me except for few who considered my venture as a mere hobby or pass time but since criticism is also important, I accept the challenge to prove my worth.
Tell us about your startup journey so far
I started with selling paintings and have been able to sell them not only in India, but USA and Canada too. Next idea was to incorporate paintings as designs on useful products. So I came up with hand painted wooden boxes. Later came up with pen stands, trays, visiting card holders, wall size posters, hangings etc. Its been a roller coaster ride from handling my baby daughter to making all samples on own during late night hours. Sometimes it has been tiring, sometimes full of excitement but at the end of day it is my baby venture to be brought up and nourished by me.
What was the key challenge & how did you overcome it?
Key challenge was handling my little daughter and work together. So the solution was that I worked late night hours when she used to sleep.

I am equipped with all necessary things like space, labour and material to complete orders on time.
If there is one thing you would like to give as a message, what would that be?
Hard work and dedication can turn up things or situations for you. So be steady and determined.
